Running Clinic

the 1st LEARN TO RUN PROPERLY clinic was a great success this evening for runners of all types. Lots of focus on drills to correct poor & improper technique, information to back it up, the physical part to learn the proper way and so much more. Thank you Jim Norris for a great session. I cant wait for the 2nd part February 3rd @ 7:30pm

Well you can always learn something new no matter what or who you are. Jim put on a great seminat today and answered a lot of questions for the group. There were a lot of happy people that walked away with some great new running tools to make them better and more efficient runners.

I dont consider myself to be picture perfect when I run and I know by watching others on the track all day that a lot of us need help. Getting someone to watch your form and give you feedback is so important.

Thanks Jim for a great evening!

Happy New Year

Well everyone its the new year and by this time everyone has some kind of goal in mind. Get more workouts in, eat better, get more organized, make more ME time... These are all great things and its great to want them but the bottom line is you need to plan for them to happen. Its good to have a goal (or several goals) but if you don't have a plan laid out on how to get there then its not going to work.

One thing you need to do is look at your schedule. Sit down and write it out. Put in the obligations and times that you are not available. Once that is done slot in what you want/need to do for yourself. When you have it planned and booked in you will get it done. If you keep telling yourself you will get it in later chances are it may not happen.

What are my goals? Well I have 2 Ironman events this year. May 7th (St. George Utah) and September 11th (Wisconsin). The 1st one in Utah will be hard to train for as it is supposedly the toughest course on the IM circuit. I have been looking at my schedule booking in my workout times and it seems to be working out well. I know this event will be the toughest one so far but I am looking forward to it. The 2 pictures above are from the event.
What are your goals?
Set those goals and PLAN to keep them and make them work out!

Good Luck

Paul
